The Road to Maxi Lounge: Eight Years in the Making

We couldn’t have found a better location. Every day I walk in and see the builders hard at work, and I honestly have to pinch myself. It’s like watching a dream slowly come into focus, only with a lot more dust, tools, and the occasional loud drill.

Right now, we’re nowhere near “finishing touches” territory… in fact, we’re at the complete opposite end of the scale. But every cable laid, every wall painted, every space framed out brings us closer to welcoming you through our doors this autumn.

We’ve got big plans: the best snooker, pool, and darts in the area, a welcoming space for friends and families, and food that will keep you coming back for more (think juicy burgers, melt-in-your-mouth steak sandwiches, and more surprises to come).

The Road to Maxi Lounge: Eight Years in the Making

It’s the end of our second week here at Maxi Lounge and what a week it’s been!

This project has been eight years in the making. Believe it or not, this is actually the fourth venue we’ve tried to bring to life. The first three? They each took months (and a fair bit of money), but ultimately didn’t make it past the planning stage. At the time, it was frustrating. But looking back now, I’m actually grateful they didn’t work out—because it brought us right here, to Yate.
